Alvaro Marquez Gandara,

Campaign Manager

Born and raised in Denver and a proud Abraham Lincoln High School alum, Alvaro is a lifelong product of Denver Public Schools, having attended DPS from kindergarten through 12th grade. He currently gives back to the community by coaching football at Denver South High School.

Alvaro is an election-winning campaign manager, leading the successful 2021 campaign for current DPS Board President Dr. Carrie Olson, after first volunteering for her in 2017.

One of four siblings—all graduates of DPS schools—Alvaro grew up immersed in school sports, clubs, and travel opportunities. Today, he and his siblings remain active in their communities as parents, neighbors, and role models—and, of course, as good sons and daughters.
